Day 11 – Shakti Yoga

Yoga with Adriene – Day 11 (23 mins)

Mediation with Portia – Day 11 – Release Fear (8 mins)

Notes from Adriene on Day 11

Oh, it is ON!

Shakti Yoga practice to awaken.

Awaken what?

Well, you tell me.

Shiva and Shakti are two very important symbols in Yoga. I will be offering opportunities to delve deeper into yogic philosophy and studies later on in the year – for those who are interested!

Through regular practice, we begin to chip away at something. I say “something” because it is no doubt a different “thing” for everyone.

We begin to chip away.

We begin to take off those old layers of paint or protective coating and we begin to get back to the original treasure.

By Day 11 you might at least have an essence of what I am talking about.

Shakti is an important symbol in Yoga culture. She is on one side of the coin – with dear Shiva on the other. Shakti represents energy, power, and empowerment. She represents creative energy, creation, fertility, and the feminine energy.

In short, Shakti rocks.

I invite you to use this practice to explore where you want to direct the Shakti, or the energy, that you have cultivated in your practice thus far.

Where do you want to direct your energy?

What do you want to give life to?

If you are feeling tired- you can still do this. Energy is always there – whether you feel like doing the dishes or not.

Doing great, everyone! DON’T GIVE UP!

Lions, Lizards and Dogs, OH MY! This full body at home yoga practice is a healthy boost to both body and MIND.

Day 11 balances and strengthens your Shakti energy. Shakti is considered the essential energy to live a healthy and vibrant life. Connect to an open mind and heart with creative energy – whatever that means to you. Use this awesome practice to seek, find, and connect to the power within.

Discover! It’s there. Awaken it!

All my love,

Adriene
